The first album from new Scottish band Long Earth is “The Source”, and after nearly two years of writing and recording, it’s now available here! The sound is an exciting mix of a number of influences with a classic prog rock base. Long Earth is composed of a group of widely experienced musicians who have burst back onto the music scene afresh with this album. Produced by Hew Montgomery of Grand Tour, Abel Ganz and Comedy of Errors fame and featuring amongst others two former Ganzers in Ken Weir (drums) and Gordon Mackie (bass), this album is set to appeal to not just prog rock diehards, but all music fans!
Grand Tour Music are delighted to be able to offer the remastered version of the first Abel Ganz album (”Gratuitous Flash”, released originally in 1984). It is now available for purchase from ourselves and also from selected distributors and download sites. The album features all the original members and has been remixed with extra instrumentation by Hew Montgomery at Southpark Studios during 2016. The remix incorporates the entire original album and Alan Reed’s version of “Kean on the Job” is also included.
The album that started it all for Grand Tour, the studio project featuring some of the best known names on the Scottish progressive rock scene! Released in 2015, the album was critically acclaimed and remains a landmark piece of work. Inspired by the cold war and the film “On the Beach”, this is a powerful piece of progressive rock and you can buy it here!
… and don’t forget the matching Gildan t-shirt, which features the artwork of the fabulously talented Duncan Storr! Still available in selected sizes:
We know that you can never beat having the actual CD with its superb 24 page booklet and high quality graphics, but here’s the next best thing. If you’d rather just have the high quality digital download, you can visit the nice people at CD Baby from here, and they’ll help you out.

Grand Tour are delighted to welcome Chris Radford on board as our new bass player. Chris has a huge wealth of playing experience over the years, and we are now ready to (finally) make a start on recording the new Grand Tour album! Work begins in November when Bruce Levick will be completing the drum tracks, then over to Joe Cairney and Mark Spalding to do their bits. We hope to have the album ready for release by Easter 2018.
